What you really need to do is select three works by Pule that you want to make the focus of your essay. You need to name and date each of those three works (as discussed in class).
You also need to locate your research resources. One thing I would suggest, instead of just saying that Pule "loves poetry" or "loves novels" is to actually read some of his poetry, or some of his novels, so that you can write about them from a place of knowledge, and use quotes from them to back up your points.
hey bro I read somewhere that Pule started off as a creative writer and was influenced by Ralph Hotere also that he took a contreversial point of veiw of the church because he beleived that the missionarys that bought christ to the Islands Demeaned and diminished the cultural heritage of the pacific and NZ a good example of this is All the cultural artifacts in muesems today that were mutilated by the christian missionaries they decided it was inappropreite to display a mans penis and consequently brutally removed the penises from carvings. which was a callous thing to do as an erect penis on a Maori or Pacific carving Denotes a skillful warrior and power.I found this out by reseaching at the public libary and by talking to the tutors at tech
Maha, you have given Matalio some very interesting contextual information, this is great. (Do you remember any titles of the books you were looking at? ) Also are you talking about Steve Lovett from here, MIT? Your suggestion for Matalio to utilize talking with people as a research tool is very insightful, Hobbs

Sometimes talking to people can be an effective research tool as long as the source is credible
