I found Pieter Hugos works very thought provoking because of his use
of strange supernatural creatures in his works inspired by the Nollywood film industry in Nigeria.Pieter Hugos works were also very explicit like the woman with the blade through her chest as well as the soldier with the bullet wound to his head lieing in what seemed to me as the soldiers fathers arms. the vampire looking boy clutching his money close to his chest while sitting in the passanger seat of the car was an interesting peice to me as in the picture the car s ignition is missing meaning its a stolen car with a"zombie" type man in in the front seat clutching a hand full of money.each peice depicts a gruesome or unreal senario of death poverty and even vampire s and zombies.the artist Pieter hugo is a white South African photographer that is capturing all these dark skinned nigerian subjects? to me i see this interesting as a white south africans taken particular interest in the nigerian culture and the abundance of culture its film industry "Nollywood" has

All those images you chose to post really captures my eye, just looking at these images makes me want to portray a photography like tehse, for my photogrpahy.
The photograph of Jesus is and the zombie photographs are somethinsg i would us to makea photograph installation .. although i wonder if jesus was really dark skinned , because the photos ive seen are, usuakly white, so interesting how people portray the image of Jesus christ.

I feel like this is a really good start because you are very descriptive about a range of the works in the exhibition. However, you don't really go beyond saying what they looked like. I guess this is where "context" is important. Obviously, the context is "Nollywood", but what other issues might there be? For example, a white man photographing a black movie industry? And focusing on the most gory, sensational images?

it's good to hear your opinion in you comments. You have talked about the various representations of Jesus, which is a good observation of "meaning", although you should use research to back up your observations.
