Good to see you have made a start. With your mind map, you could try more specific terms rather than "proud", "male", "kiwi" which could be about anyone - a rugby player, a politician. Adsett is an artist and so you need to think about the visual language he uses: Maori symbolism, stylisation, abstraction, etc... How does he use colour? How does he use line? What do the symbols mean? What medium/media does he use?
